Chair's Announcement Minutes: The Chair confirmed that the meeting was being broadcast live to the internet via the Council’s website and was capable of repeated viewing. The images and sound recording may be used for training purposes within the Council. All were asked to keep to the speaking guidelines which were outlined. Any views expressed by any speaker in the meeting are the speaker’s own and do not necessarily reflect the views of High Peak Borough Council.

Licensing Enforcement Activity Minutes: The Committee considered an update on the enforcement activity within the Licensing Section.
It was reported that the Licensing Section had noted a good level of compliance within the last six months, and premises were operating in a safe manner and maintaining good standards. Enforcement powers were available should they be required, but they had not been used to date within High Peak. Members commented on the positive way in which the licensing team had been operating throughout the pandemic.

COVID-19 Update Legislation Additional documents:
Minutes: The Committee considered an update regarding the coronavirus legislation and the changing nature of this since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Reference was made to the very recent introduction of tier restrictions, which included Glossopdale being placed in Tier 2 high alert tier and members were provided with an overview of the tier restrictions for the Glossopdale area.
Information for businesses and employees was presented, and members were advised that relevant media alerts were prepared and information was available on the council’s website.
Queries were put and responded to around funerals, the use of churches for independent prayer, the ability of pubs to sell beer off premises.
