Reasons for the recommendation
The report set out progress made to regenerate the former Nestle Waters bottling plant off Station Road in Buxton and recommended that the Council formally enters into a partnership with a number of other public sector organisations to develop a business case for a health, care and public service hub. The partnership would be governed by a memorandum of understanding which is attached to the report.
As set out in paragraph 5 of the report.

2. That the approval by the Cabinet Office of £100,000 under the One Public Estate Initiative to support the proposed Health, Care and Public Service hub, be noted;
3. That the involvement of the Council in the wider public sector partnership in order to develop a detailed business case for consideration by the Executive be authorised;
4. That the Memorandum of Understanding attached to the report to govern the involvement of the Council and other partners in the partnership be approved.
