REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION

The Leader considered proposals to support Town / Parish Council’s and Community Groups in marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED:

As set out in paragraph 5 of the report

RESOLVED:

1.    That the Council establishes a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee grant fund of £20,000.  Grants will be available to parish and town council sin the High peak based on the size of the council (as detailed in the report) and for community groups in areas not represented by a town or parish council;

2.    That the Council uses a range of tools to promote the anniversary including the use of the Council website and social media channels.
