UK Shared Prosperity Fund - Rural England Prosperity Fund Additional documents: Minutes: REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION
The UK government has proposed an additional £400,000 for High Peak Borough Council, known as the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) referred to as the ‘Rural Fund’ and managed by DEFRA. An addendum to the UKSPF Investment Plan showing our preferred rural fund interventions needs to be submitted with a submission window between 3 October and 30 November.
ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED
The alternative option is to not submit a rural UKSPF addendum to the Investment Plan, then we may forfeit the additional £400,000 allocated.
RESOLVED
1. That the proposed Rural Fund interventions and allocations as set out in Appendix 1 be approved; 2. That the preferred Option A as the proposed delivery model for the Rural Fund be approved; 3. That the submission of the required Rural England Prosperity Fund addendum form to DEFRA by the deadline of 30 November using the interventions, allocations and delivery model (option A) as the basis for completion, be approved.
