REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION

To enable the Council to establish a Coronation grant fund of £20,000 to assist communities to hold their own events and activities.

ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED

As set out in paragraph 5 of the report

RESOLVED:

1.    That a Coronation grant fund of £20,000 be establsihe.  Grants will be availble to parish and town councils in the High Peak based on the size of the council (as detailed in the report) and for community groups in areas not represented by a town or parish council.

2.    That a range of tools be used to promote the occasion including the use of the Council website and social media channels.
