REASON FOR THE RECOMMENDATION

The Leader considered whether to approve or refuse the establishment of a D-Day Grant Fund of £20,000.  Grants would be available to parish and town councillors in the High Peak based on the size of the council (as detailed in the report) and for community groups in areas not represented by a town or parish council.

The Leader also considered approval or refusal of the use of a range of tools to promote the anniversary, including the Council website and social media channels.

RESOLVED

That the establishment of a D-Day Grant Fund of £20,000, and use of a range of tools to promote the anniversary, as set out in the report, be approved.
