Select Committee Work Programme Minutes: The Chair advised that the next meeting will consider the outcome of the community engagement exercise around the Revitalising Buxton project.
Regarding the Glossop Halls project, the Leader confirmed that an update was being made to the next meeting of the Executive.

Minutes: The Committee received a presentation around the UK Shared Prosperity Fund which provided a financial and programme overview, an overview by priority area and a summary of achievements to date with s spotlight on towns.
It was reported that up to 31 October 2024 that 95% of the programme budget has been allocated and around 42% defrayed, forecasted capital expenditure is 48% for the whole programme. The grant programme was reviewed and re-launched in July and new skills provision has been confirmed and is now in delivery via Derby University and Buxton & Leek College, and the closing dates for the final round of business granted was 10th November. Government has confirmed that there will be no mechanism to carry forward any UKSPF underspends into future years. Examples of funded projects were set out, including public realm, community events, active travel, community infrastructure, cost of living, business and skills and employment activity together with priority outcomes for each area.
Particular reference was made to an energy improvement scheme provided in partnership with HPBC and Alliance Norse to provide new LED lighting for Council housing stock which had been well received. Investment will also be made in infrastructure within town centres to enable fall to be monitored to provide key performance information. A further report will be made at the end of the funding year.
